Welcome to SmithGenealogy.org

This site is dedicated to one particular line of Smiths.

SmithGenealogy.org's purpose is to illustrate the history of a family from its earliest traceable roots down to the current generation. Unlike most genealogies, we intend to portray as much of the life of each person in the tree as possible, not just names and dates. This will help to preserve our history for posterity.
The research on the family was done, for the most part, by Brian C. Smith in his work "The Conecuh Connection". and James Paul Smith of Green Cove Springs, FL. There were also very important contributions by James T. Smith, Barbara King, Sherry Johnston and many others. There are still a lot of holes in the story, so if anyone has any information about the surnames SMITH, GODBOLD, or MCGRAW, from Marion County, SC or Conecuh County, AL in the 1700s-1800s, please E-Mail the Webmaster.

And so without further ado, on to the Genealogy
